Outside of School Hours Care
Before and after school care
Bert Oldfield Public School is proud to partner with Inspire Program Australia to provide high-quality Before and After School Care for our families. Conveniently located on-site within the school grounds, Inspire offers a safe, engaging and supportive environment where children can continue learning, developing friendships and exploring their interests beyond the school day.
The Inspire Program is designed to provide more than traditional out-of-school-hours care. Through a structured and engaging approach, children participate in a variety of educational, recreational and wellbeing-focused experiences that support their growth and development. The program combines Homework Club, creative and enrichment activities, and physical activity opportunities, helping students develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
Each afternoon, students can take part in a range of activities including science experiments, cooking experiences, arts and crafts, clay modelling, outdoor games, sporting activities and special interest projects. These experiences are designed to encourage creativity, curiosity, teamwork and problem-solving while ensuring children have fun in a supportive environment.
A unique feature of the Inspire Program is its Homework Club, which has been developed by qualified teachers to support students with homework completion, organisation and study skills. This dedicated time helps children build confidence in their learning while supporting busy families and reinforcing positive educational routines.
Students also have opportunities to participate in Taekwondo lessons as part of the program. These sessions focus on developing fitness, coordination, self-discipline, resilience and confidence in a safe and inclusive setting. Participation is designed to be enjoyable for children of all abilities and experience levels.
Inspire operates before school from 7:00am to 9:00am and after school from 2:50pm to 6:00pm during school terms. The service is approved for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), helping to make quality care accessible and affordable for eligible families. Vacation care and pupil-free day programs are also available through Inspire, providing families with additional support throughout the year.
At Bert Oldfield Public School, we value strong partnerships that support the wellbeing and success of our students. The Inspire Program complements our commitment to providing safe, inclusive and enriching opportunities for children, ensuring they continue to learn, grow and thrive before and after the school day.
