High Definition touch screens are being installed at Bert Oldfield to replace our ageing interactive White Boards. The High definition screens are multi touch, high resolution and do not have a projector that requires cyclic maintenance and replacement. They are the next big thing in the suite of digital tools available to enhance student learning. We currently have 4 devices installed in 4 classrooms and are looking to install a further two in 2015.
The High definition Televisions enable each class to collectively interact with the World Wide Web, represent and present their learning in a multitude of ways, and access Internet and Intranet based programs for collaborative learning.
They are also a fantastic teaching tool sand place a multitude of appropriate digital resources at the teacher's fingertips. They are uses within every maths, reading, and writing lesson, just to name a few applications, to enhance our students understanding and generate whole class input and discussion.
